I have recently started an online business. Simple, you say? In the beginning I honestly thought I knew what I was doing. Ha! Guess what? Like many of you out there I came to realize that I had no real clue what I was getting myself into. I have found that what I might think is a terrific product just is not true. You have to market your creativity to all of the non-believers. Convincing most people that they absolutely need your product is tough. The wonderful power of suggestion is a fabulous resource in this day and age. I have convinced myself that what I am selling is something that everyone in the world will want to add to their collection of must have items.
In the process of learning the ropes about website do’s and don’ts, and what the huge hype is circling the globe with ..

“Social Marketing”. I am positive you are sitting at home staring at your computer wanting to read everything, find everything, ask everyone,

“How do I get my business noticed?”

I was seeking out every avenue possible myself. Anything that I thought could help me find the most up to date most reliable most talked about new way of spreading the word about my new business.
Many avenues out there for example, Face book, MySpace, Twitter, Stumble Upon, You tube and all of the blogging many websites. I know I have let out a lot of names, but that list could go on forever. Companies have started marketing ways to improve your website presence if you take this course, or if you upload this free e-book. So many resources are out there that it is hard to keep up with all of those website and passwords; it becomes a full-time job just trying to update everything on those websites. I know in my case it has become an obsession to make sure I find EVERYTHING out there!
Now after reading my first few paragraphs you are probably wondering what I am going to try to sell you on huh? Sale you on something NO, get you to help me as well as yourself and many others like us, YES! Like Forest Gump said “Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you will get.” I would like to make sure I get my favorite every time! Which buy the way if you are wondering is caramel-anything! Why shouldn’t you receive everything you have worked so hard for? Helping each other out in this day and time of being able to take advantage of the lightening speed of the Internet! I have been on Twitter and have seen messages that say

“if you follow me and you send me an advertisement for your website I will delete you immediately.”

Understandably so, it is a social network like Face Book, people want to socialize and start new rewarding relationships, not be bothered by more people that just want to sell them something. Now with the economy in this slump, downward spiral or whatever you might be calling it, I would rather give my money to the small businesses that are struggling to survive, not the big box stores that are preying upon the people that have recently lost their jobs due to recent downsizing.
Here is what we can do, together we can watch the list grow into something useful and profitable, getting recognized finally! Little Links will soon become a compiled list of new SMALL companies that are less than 6 months old on the Internet. If you have started a new business and want to be seen, you want to draw customers to your website, right? Here is what you need to do.
Add your URL to the list by sending it to me at the address that will be posted at the end. Tell me in less than 4 short and sweet sentences what your business sells and if you would like to include a coupon code for people that find you on this list, include that as well. So with that said, take time to write something colorful that will help get you noticed. Pretty simple, right? We should soon start to see the power of joining together and helping one another.
